About

Moorabool Catchment Landcare Group

Since 1989 we have supported landholders to sustainably manage their land for production and biodiversity.

We do this by running educational seminars, fauna monitoring programs, citizen scientist projects. As well as offering financial support for revegetation, pest animals and weed control.

Being able to implement positive change for our environment is a very inspiring thing. To engage people, who may not have realised the impact they can make. By empowering people to manage their land, and act as a community. We can accomplish much more together, and people belong to a community that creates a better tomorrow.

MCLG offers support to everyone. From broad acre farmers to urban residents. If you’re interested in supporting biodiversity, wildlife monitoring, removing weeds or planting trees. MCLG has something to offer you.

The Landcare group formed in 1989 and was at that time named the East Moorabool Landcare Group. The group was formed by the local farming community. With the aim of returning trees into the landscape, offering support to landholders, and improving riparian vegetation along the Moorabool River. Now over 30 years on, the area and number of members MCLG supports has grown significantly.

If you want to improve production or support native wildlife but aren’t sure where to start. Don’t worry, we know how overwhelming managing a new property can be we have been there ourselves. We want to make life easier for you and the environment, and with our support you can.
